‘F**king jump or come down’ – man arrested for climbing speaker stack at Liam Gallagher’s TRNSMT set

The former Oasis frontman followed on from his huge London Finsbury Park show in the final run of shows for his acclaimed 2017 debut solo album ‘As You Were‘ when he took things up to Scotland.

However, Gallagher was forced to halt his main stage performance during ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ so that a fan could be brought down from one of the tall speaker towers.

“We’ve got a gig to do here, so you’re either going to f**king jump or come down,” said Gallagher as his set was interrupted.”

The man was retrieved and then arrested for breach of the peace offences.

“Police can confirm that a 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with a breach of the peace after he climbed part of the speaker stack during the Liam Gallagher set at TRNSMT festival on Saturday 30 June 2018,” said police officials. “A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”

They added: “There were six arrests at TRNSMT festival on Saturday 30 June 2018. Three were for public order offences, two for being in the possession of flares and one for being in the possession of a weapon.

“There were 33 people reported to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged drugs offences.”

Now Liam will return to the stidolo to complete work on his biblical second album. He says he hopes to have the record finished by Christmas 2018.
