Liam Gallagher pays tribute to home city after Ariana Grande Manchester Arena attack

A bombing at Ariana Grande’s Manchester Arena gig has killed 22 people and injured 59.

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that the incident is  being treated as a terrorist attack.
The force’s chief Constable Ian Hopkins has also confirmed that  several children are among the victims.
As the United Kingdom wakes up to the tragic news, tributes have been pouring in for the city of Manchester.
Eager to show his support for his birthplace, former Oasis frontman Liam has broken his silence.
Taking to Twitter, the Manchester native said: “In total shock and absolutely devastated about what’s gone down in Manchester. Sending love and light to all the families involved. LG.”
His heartfelt message has been retweeted over 4,000 times, but not all of the response has been positive.
One disgruntled follower accused the musician of simply posting the tweet for publicity.
