Liam Gallagher says he ‘does not need’ brother Noel anymore

Remember before Christmas when it seemed the Gallagher family had called a pre-festive truce after an eight-year, post-Oasis cold war.

Well, yeah – forget that.

Liam has apparently taken offence to Noel suggesting in an interview with Music Feeds that it is “undignified” to play stadiums at his age.

“I don’t need to be a stadium rocker anymore – I did it when I was in my twenties and thirties and forties, and I was good at it,” said Noel.

“I don’t particularly want to be a stadium rocker when I’m 50. I think it’s undignified.”

Those comments appear to have touched a nerve with 45-year-old Liam, who is currently playing stadium gigs in Australia.

He’s pointed out that the older Gallagher has recently been on a world tour playing similar venues around the world while supporting U2.

It’s a typically manic Twitter rant from Liam, in which he also takes aim at Paul Weller and Johnny Marr and you can find that for yourselves on the social media platform.

The frontman has a host of headline shows to look forward to this year, including Finsbury Park, Old Trafford Cricket Ground and TRNSMT Festival and he concluded by declaring himself to be “FREE AS A BIRD”.
