Liam Gallagher teases “biblical” support act for Finsbury Park show

Liam Gallagher has teased one of the support acts for his upcoming Finsbury Park show in the summer, describing the artist in question as a “biblical brother”.

Former Oasis frontman Gallagher headlines London’s Finsbury Park on June 29. Liam recently revealed that he wanted grime artist Skepta to support him at the Finsbury Park show, hoping that he can add to the “danger” of his upcoming outdoor concert.

Now, after being asked on Twitter who the support acts were for the gig, Liam has tweeted: “Mate I can’t tell ya but I have a biblical brother joining me now run of and spread the butter you nutter”.

Looking back on the last time Oasis headlined Finsbury Park, Gallagher recently said: “I loved that gig, man. It was really fucking dangerous and I liked it. So hopefully we’ll have a bit of the same.” Asked about who else would be performing across the two stages, Gallagher replied: “It can’t all be 90s stuff, man. We’ve got to mix it up a bit”.

Liam Gallagher will be presented with this year’s Godlike Genius award at the VO5 NME Awards 2018. The ceremony takes place at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 14.
