Noel Gallagher On The Idea Of Writing His Autobiography

Noel Gallagher spoke to Frank Skinner on Absolute Radio about writing his autobiography.

He said “I’ve been offered. quite a bit of money.  But a few friends of mine have written books, for example, Johnny Marr, and it went on for years, I would say, “What are you up to?”  “Oh, still writing a book!”  And I was like, “I’m never gonna write a book, if it takes this long!”  And I was saying to him.  “How d’you go about it?”  And he was saying, “Well, you devote four or five hours a day to it.”  I was like, “Four or five hours a day!”  It’s like being back at school, I suppose you could take the Keith Richards approach where you get someone else to write it.”

“But then it’s someone else’s words – I don’t know.  I did a tour blog once, which just freaked me out, it’s like they’d call me and say, “Have you got your blog ready for today?”  I’m like, “I’ve gotta come up with another one of these things!  I have to make stories up now!”

“Maybe one day.  I’d have to sell the idea to myself really.”

Full interview to be played on Absolute Radio on Sunday 26th November 8pm.
