Chetham’s School of Music pay his tribute singing ‘Don’t look back in anger’ from behind the police cordon in Manchester.
The video was met with admiration from many on social media, with Andrew Benton describing it as ‘beautiful’.
The students shared the video with a message on Twitter: ‘Don’t look back in anger. A message of hope and support from our students still inside the cordon. Our hearts go out to all affected by last night’s events.’
