Liam Gallagher ended his 2017 UK tour with a storming show at the Manchester Arena.
Mixing up a set that weaved Oasis classics into tracks from the recent debut solo album As You Were, Liam was in triumphant mood on a frosty Manchester night.
He seems to have embraced the shadow his former band cast over the Burnage frontman post-split.
It’s unimaginable to think of a live Liam experience that didn’t include Slide Away and Morning Glory.
Although one of the set highlights was Roll With It b-side Rockin’ Chair – an underrated Noel-penned gem carried along by Liam’s vulnerable vocals.
Rock n Roll Star is still a huge set opener as plastic pint pots flew through the air.
A rowdy opening gave way to softer tracks Paper Crown and For What Its Worth as the Arena stayed on its feet.
These tracks have grown on their six month journey from Ritz to Arena.
Now, they hold up pretty well against Oasis tracks and a new generation of parka clad fans are happy to mix with middle aged nostalgia seekers.
Some Might Say takes it back up a notch, into Slide Away , which gets the biggest reaction of the night so far.
I’m Outta Time is one of Oasis’ oft underrated back catalogue but it’s where Liam started to shine as a songwriter. Simple brilliance.
Come back to me is the best of the bunch from As You Were tonight as at this point, Liam puts his hood up – looking a bit like I, Daniel Blake the Musical.
Supersonic still sounds f****ing gigantic after 23 years.
Be Here Now ends a rowdy night. There is dad dancing. There is air guitar. There are air drums. Tonight, they’re all rock and roll stars.
Bonehead turns up for the encore. Bonehead!
Cigarettes and Alcohol gets the whole arena bouncing.
Liam still has his hood up.
Wonderwall has every phone lit up as the Arena sways collectively.

A truly beautiful acoustic version of Live Forever brings us home – as a bee symbol and the number 22 fill the giant screen.
