This is how Oasis inspired Manchester City’s record-breaking winning streak

It has been revealed how Oasis helped inspire Manchester City’s record-breaking run of 15 straight Premier League victories.

Oasis duo Noel and Liam Gallagher are well-known City fans, with Noel even recently attending a game with fellow famous fan, former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola previously confirmed that the players listen to Oasis in the dressing room prior to matches, revealing that ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ is his favourite song by the Britpop band.

Now, The Mirror reports that before City’s 4-0 away win against Swansea on Wednesday night (December 13), the City players “pumped up the volume by listening to Oasis”, calling the Gallagher brothers the team’s “current inspiration”.

The win meant that Man City have now gone 15 Premier League games without losing, beating the previous record of 14 matches, jointly held by Arsenal in 2002.
