BRIT Awards 2020 nominations snub Liam Gallagher as Noel’s rival Lewis Capaldi dominates

Oasis legend Liam Gallagher failed to receive a single nomination for this year’s BRIT Awards, despite his second audio album Why Me? Why Not. topping the UK chart earlier this year.

The record, which was Liam’s second solo studio album, was also the biggest selling vinyl album of 2019 – something he boasted was ‘biblical’ earlier this month.

Not only was the record not nominated for Album of the Year, but Liam himself missed out on a nod for Male Solo Artist.

However, it isn’t all bad news for the rocker.

His brother Noel Gallagher’s enemy Lewis Capalidi – who Noel famously branded Chewbacca – looks to dominate the BRITS with an impressive four notations.

Awkwardly, One Direction’s Liam Payne failed to receive a single nomination despite him performing during the announcement show for the second year in a row and his bandmate Harry Styles picking up two nominations.

Other potentially big winners of BRITS 2020 include Don’t Call Me Up starlet Mabel who has three nominations.

Outspoken rapper Stormzy also has three nominations.

The 2020 BRIT Awards will be held on 18 February 2020 at the O2 Arena in London and aired on ITV1.
