Famous Welsh recording studios used by Oasis, The Stone Roses and Black Sabbath up for sale



A legendary studio where some of the world’s best-known albums were recorded has gone up for sale.

Monnow Valley Studio in Monmounth has been used by countless artists including Stereophonics, The Stone Roses, and Black Sabbath since it began operating in 1975.

Its distinctive 1,200 sq ft live room is where Oasis recorded their debut album Definitely Maybe and appeared on the cover of their first single Supersonic.

Textile artist Jo Riou is selling the studio and its attached guest house after owning the property for about 20 years.
