Radio DJ George Bowie has branded View a “pr***” and a “d***”, revealing a sour encounter with the Oasis star.
Speaking on a podcast with Si Ferry, the Clyde 1 host recalled when Noel refused to sign a t-shirt for the Cash For Kids charity. Bowie said the refusal was baffling, especially coming from one of his musical heroes.
“He just said ‘nah’ – and I thought, why be a d***?”
A Disappointing Encounter With Noel
According to Bowie, the incident took place during a Clyde 1 Live event at Glasgow’s Hydro.
Noel had to leave early for another gig, and the station wanted a signed High Flying Birds shirt for auction.
Despite the good cause, Noel Gallagher refused.
“It’s tough when someone you admire turns out to be a d***,” Bowie admitted.
Liam Gallagher Called ‘A Lovely Guy’
In contrast, Bowie praised Liam Gallagher, saying he was down-to-earth and friendly during a visit to Clyde.
“Liam’s a bit mental, but he’s not a d***,” Bowie joked.
He added that it’s now easy to see why the two brothers have clashed for so long.
The story adds another chapter to the ongoing Gallagher drama that fans of Oasis continue to follow with passion.
