How to watch Liam Gallagher’s Hull MTV Unplugged gig on TV

The time is almost here for fans of Liam Gallagher to watch his live performance at Hull City Hall on TV.

Last month, those lucky enough to get their hands on tickets were treated to a spectacular evening from the former Oasis frontman, where he was joined by a live orchestra for a special filming of MTV Unplugged.

Beginning in the 1990s, MTV Unplugged was created to showcase the biggest artists of the time with acoustic sets, and has seen memorable performances and subsequent albums from the likes of Eric Clapton, Nirvana, Rod Stewart, Lauryn Hill, Jay Z and more.

Oasis performed for MTV Unplugged in 1996, where they were recorded live from London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Now, Liam Gallagher has had his own turn in the MTV spotlight, and caused crowds to go crazy as he sang Oasis classics and new material.

For those who were there on August 3, it will no doubt be a gig they will remember forever.

But if you missed it, or simply want to rewatch it, here is how you can see it.

When can I watch it?

The full concert will be aired from 9pm on Friday, September 27.

What channel is it on?

It will be available on MTV UK, which is Sky channel 126 or Virgin 134.

How long will it last?

The concert itself was on for just over one hour, so the programme is expected to last a little longer with interviews from Liam.

At the time of the concert, Liam said: “I’m honoured to be performing at the legendary showcase that is MTV Unplugged.

“I’ll be playing songs from my number-one debut solo album, I’ll be playing some stone cold classics from the mighty Oasis and I’ll be showcasing some of my new songs from my upcoming second solo album Why Me? Why Not.

“I’d love it if you could join us as it’s sure to be a biblical evening. P.S. I Love Hull!”
