Incredibile moment fans lift man in wheelchair to watch Liam Gallagher sing Wonderwall

The amazing moment the crowd came together and raised a man in a wheelchair up in the air at a Liam Gallagher concert, so he could see the rock and roll star, has been captured on film…

The 30-year-old long-time Oasis and Gallagher fan was struggling to see so members of the crowd held him up in the air – where he was filmed belting out the classic song ‘Wonderwall’.

Michael Reynolds, from Leigh, was able to enter the designated disabled access area – but he wanted to watch the Mancunian star with his 15 friends who he’d gone to the massive Gallagher solo-gig with.

Because he was in the standing area it was incredibly difficult for him to get any view of the stage.

However, his friends then did the amazing has soon as ‘Wonderwall’ started playing his friends lifted Michael, along with his wheelchair, as high as they could in the air so he could enjoy the show.

Seeing this incredible effort, roughly, 20 people came over to the LAD to help.

Michael told the MEN that it was a truly ‘unbelievable’ moment – he said: “Obviously, there was the disabled area, but there were 15 of us and I am the only one in a wheelchair.

“But I couldn’t see, I ended up just listening to it. My mates had the idea of lifting me up. Suddenly, there were 20 lads all helping. Everyone was loving it.”

The moment was captured on camera by Twitter user @hannah_maex, and has touched people over the internet.

She tweeted: “This man got to enjoy @liamgallagher last night the way everyone should. God bless those that helped.”

Michael, who works as a scrapyard manager, said: “It was really positive. The atmosphere was unbelievable. Everyone was really helping.

“You couldn’t fault the crowd at all, it was just people being positive wanting to help.”

The Oasis fan has been a wheelchair user for five years – he’s required the use of one since he broke his back following an accident during a motocross race.

This hasn’t stopped him – though the incident paralysed Michael, he doesn’t let it get in his way, he now races road bikes in his spare time.

The Liam Gallagher solo concert, at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, in Manchester, was the rock star’s biggest solo gig yet.
