Liam Gallagher at Manchester Arena: stage times, setlist and support

After making his triumphant solo comeback two years ago, Liam Gallagher is still flying high.

The former Oasis star can add a second number one album, Why Me? Why Not, a smash hit single, Shockwave, another storming Glastonbury set, an MTV Rock Icon award, and his own biopic, As It Was, to his achievements in 2019.

And now he’s capping off the year with a massive arena tour taking him around some of the UK’s biggest venues, including a sold-out homecoming show at Manchester Arena.

Fans can look forward to a catalogue of Oasis classics peppered in amongst solo songs with a leaning towards his latest album, as well as tracks from his solo debut As You Were.

Here’s what to expect if you’re going to see him on Wednesday November 20.

They’ve been dubbed the Australian Oasis, so there could hardly be a more fitting opener than DMA’s.

Liam’s long been a fan of the Sydney three-piece, hyping them as ‘biblical’ – high praise indeed.

Their sound owes much to the Madchester and Britpop scenes; their 2016 debut album Hills End drew clear comparisons with the Burnage boys.

Last year’s follow-up, For Now, achieved their highest UK chart position yet, peaking at number 13, and their third promises to propel them to even greater heights on its release next April.

They’ve already released lead single Silver, which signifies a scaling-up of their ambition – a unifying, arena-ready anthem fusing American rock influences with British indie inspiration.

Liam kicked off his tour earlier this week so we’ve got a pretty good idea of what he’ll play in Manchester based on his UK shows so far.

Here’s the set list he shared from his Cardiff Motorpoint Arena show:
