Liam Gallagher “doesn’t want to go on tour anymore”

Liam Gallagher revealed he “doesn’t want to go on tour anymore” to stay at home with Thai rescue dog.

The musician adopted Buttons from a sanctuary in Thailand last year. The dog had been abandoned in the jungle by previous owners for “not being cute enough.”

The former Oasis frontman has revealed he loves his new companion so much that he hesitates to go on tour.

Gallagher spoke about this on “The Jonathan Ross Show” with John Squire last weekend, following the release of their new collaborative album, “Liam Gallagher John Squire.”

“I don’t want to go on tour anymore,” he said on Saturday, March 9. “I want to stay home now.”

When asked if he would bring Buttons on tour, Gallagher replied “no.” He explained that he doesn’t know if the dog would like it.

Asked if he would adopt another dog, the musician said: “No, I’ll keep it as it is. She’s perfect. I don’t want to spoil the balance, you know?”

Gallagher found his dog through the Happy Doggo sanctuary in Thailand. In an interview with Sky News, founder Niall Harbison shared his shock at seeing the singer’s name among adoption applications.

“The name on the form was Liam Gallagher, but I thought, ‘That’s obviously not him,'” he said. “Then, under occupation, it said ‘singer.’ I thought my mates were messing with me, but I checked, and everything matched.”

Harbison explained that the singer applied through the usual Google form. His doubts disappeared after a video call with the “Wonderwall” singer and his partner to verify if their home suited the dog’s needs.

Buttons flew nearly 6,000 miles (9,500 km) to her new home in the UK.

While on the talk show, Gallagher also told host Ross about the last time he spoke to his brother Noel. He also performed “Mars To Liverpool” with the Stone Roses guitarist.

In a four-star review of “Liam Gallagher John Squire,” NME wrote: “The Stone Roses guitarist sounds absolutely invigorated on this psychedelic blues stomper, while Liam’s blazing comeback shows no signs of slowing down.”

Gallagher and Squire kick off their joint UK tour this week, which sold out in just 30 seconds.
