Liam Gallagher said that first single off new album will be “a banger to wake people up”.
The ex-Oasis leader has released two solo albums: “As You Were” in 2017 and “Why Me? Why Not.” in 2019. His third effort is expected this year.
A fan on Twitter asked if the first single would be a ballad or a rock ‘n’ roll track. The Manchester rocker replied: “Always a banger to wake people up.”
Last year, the “Wall Of Glass” singer revealed his new album was “shaping up well” and expected in 2021.
He even teased the title, telling Zane Lowe: “The next one will be called ‘Come On You Know’, pure positivity. Once I get the titles, we’re off.”
Though Liam‘s fans eagerly await new material, they got a special treat during the pandemic with his heartfelt festive single “All You’re Dreaming Of.” Proceeds went to Action For Children UK.
Gallagher continues his charity efforts by helping a Glasgow venue at risk of shutting down.
The Priory on Sauchiehall Street has struggled financially after failing to qualify for support funds.
Hearing about the situation, Gallagher put together a prize including:
- A signed setlist from the “Down By The River Thames” livestream.
- TRNSMT Festival Weekend tickets to see Liam live.
- A signed limited edition 7″ box set of “Why Me? Why Not.”.
- £200 in Pretty Green vouchers.
Speaking about the competition, the “Supersonic” singer said: “I can’t wait to play for the fans again. Meanwhile, we must support live venues.”
John Jokey, Priory‘s owner, thanked Liam for his generosity, stating that the help will be crucial to keeping the venue running and supporting emerging musicians.
