Liam Gallagher has done it again. His live album MTV Unplugged has officially reached Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart.

This marks Liam Gallagher’s third solo Number 1 album, following the success of As You Were and Why Me? Why Not. But that’s not all.

The album is also the fastest-selling vinyl release of 2020 in the UK so far.

The stripped-back performance, recorded at Hull City Hall, features acoustic versions of songs from his solo career. It also includes classic Oasis tracks like “Champagne Supernova” and “Some Might Say.”

Fans and critics praised the performance for its raw emotion and powerful vocals. The album’s success proves that Liam Gallagher is still a massive force in British music.

“I was honored to do MTV Unplugged,” said Liam Gallagher.
“It was a special night, and I’m buzzing it went to Number 1.”

According to the Official Charts Company, MTV Unplugged sold over 21,000 units in its debut week. A huge portion of those sales came from vinyl, showing Gallagher’s strong appeal with collectors and loyal fans.

The record-breaking vinyl sales highlight the album’s crossover appeal—nostalgic yet fresh.

Liam Gallagher continues to shine as a solo artist. Since Oasis, he’s reinvented himself without losing his iconic edge. This latest achievement proves he can still dominate the charts without needing a full band behind him.

With live gigs back on the rise, fans are eager to see if he’ll take the MTV Unplugged set on tour.

For now, though, Liam Gallagher is back on top—where many fans believe he belongs.
