Liam Gallagher has confirmed that he and fiancée Debbie Gwyther have postponed their wedding plans—but not because they’re avoiding the spotlight.

The former Oasis frontman opened up in a recent Radio X interview about the delay. He made it clear that the decision wasn’t due to personal issues, but rather the ongoing impact of the pandemic.

“We were supposed to get married last year,” said Liam Gallagher.
“But we’ve had to push it back. Still happening though—just not yet.”

Liam Gallagher and Debbie Gwyther got engaged in 2019, with the singer saying he was ready to settle down after years in the public eye. The couple has been together for nearly a decade, and Gallagher often speaks highly of her.

Rumors started to swirl online about whether the couple had quietly split or abandoned their plans. But Liam shut those rumors down immediately.

“I ain’t hiding my face,” he said.
“I’m still out and about. Still very much in love.”

Known for his rock ‘n’ roll image and outspoken nature, Liam Gallagher took a rare moment to speak sincerely about his personal life. He assured fans that the wedding is still on the horizon—just not on the original timeline.

The delay didn’t stop the couple from spending lockdown together, and Liam revealed that the slower pace actually brought them closer.

As live music returns and Gallagher gears up for more gigs, fans are happy to see both his personal and professional life thriving.

Whether it’s marriage or music, Liam Gallagher remains unapologetically himself—and that’s exactly why fans love him.
