Liam Gallagher has called brother Noel and Bono the two “biggest wankers” in music.
The former Oasis frontman was recently on tour in Australia, where he was performing as part of the annual Falls Festival.
In an interview with Australian site Junkee, Gallagher was asked about whether he had really threatened to stab Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen – a story the actor had told on talk shows. “He was trying to bring me into the fray and that,” Gallagher responded. “I think he’s more one of Noel’s mates, he’s over on Bono’s side.”
After suggesting Cohen thought he was a member of the illuminati, he added: “Fucking knobheads, all of them.”
In a series of follow-up questions, Gallagher asserted that Bono is “the biggest wanker”. When asked why, he responded: “Just is.”
Asked to give his top five wankers in music, he said: “Noel Gallagher, Bono. It’s just them two at the moment who’ve got under my skin. They can just fucking table tennis it back and forth.”
