Liam Gallagher says Noel “has been called many times” about Oasis reunion

Liam Gallagher has revealed that Noel “has been called many times” about the possibility of an Oasis reunion.

The claim came after Noel told Talksport that Liam should just call him directly. According to Noel, Liam keeps teasing fans, saying, “It’s happening,” and raising expectations, only for Noel to have to deny it.

In Noel’s own words: “He should call me because he’s forever going on about it. If he’s serious, let’s talk. He doesn’t even have to speak to me directly. I know he won’t. He’s a coward.”

He added: “People keep asking me about it because of what Liam says. Then I look like the bad guy. So call me.”

Now, in a new BBC Radio 2 interview with Jo Whiley, Liam hit back. “Our kid has been called many times,” Liam said. “He only wants it now because he’s got an album out.”

Liam continued: “The way I see it, it ain’t happening. I’m not calling him. He’ll be calling me.”

He insisted: “He split the band up on his terms. I’ll bring it back on my terms. I’m a reasonable person, but the universe is on my side. We have ways to make it happen.”

Liam still feels bitter about the Oasis split. “I’ve got the hump with it,” he admitted. “He threw his younger brother under the bus. I’ve got bills. So did everyone else who worked for Oasis.”

Asked if he would ever make the call, Liam said no. “I don’t even have his number anymore,” he said. “But it’d be lovely for my Mam. Lovely for the family. As for the band, it’ll happen when it happens.”

Despite the friction, Liam left a glimmer of hope for fans. He said, “The band will get back together when it gets back together.”
