Liam Gallagher wants to end his famous feud with brother Noel by facing him in a battle on “Great British Bake Off”.
During “The Jonathan Ross Show”, the singer claimed that Noel turned down £100 million for an Oasis reunion. He suggested setting aside their issues by competing in the famous white tent.
“I think we’re both the problem, but he thinks he’s not,” said Liam. “He believes I’m both problems, while I’m just one.”
“I’m half the problem, but I can’t have him thinking I’m the whole problem. He needs to take some responsibility. Once he does, we’ll move on.”
Fellow guest comedian Jon Richardson asked if they would appear on “Gogglebox” together as a first step.
“Maybe ‘Bake Off’…”, Liam replied. “Maybe we’ll just bake some bread or a cake, or throw strawberries at each other.”
“Have a cream fight. That kind of stuff. Now you’re talking.”
Tensions between Noel and Liam first surfaced publicly in 1994 when Liam threw a tambourine at his brother and insulted the band on stage.
This led Noel to briefly quit before returning and using the incident as inspiration for his song “Talk Tonight”.
The brothers haven’t spoken since the Oasis split in 2009.
Despite their fallout, an Oasis reunion might not be far off. In September, Noel gave his younger brother Liam rare credit for the band’s success on the 25th anniversary of “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?”.
