Liam Gallagher’s Italian wedding in chaos due to COVID-19 lockdown

Liam Gallagher’s dream Italian wedding to fiancée Debbie Gwyther looks like it will need to be abandoned due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 47-year-old Oasis legend had been due to tie-the-knot to 37-year-old Debbie in the European country in July – but with the country on Coronavirus lockdown, plans look likely to be abandoned.

Liam and Debbie have been togetherfor six years – with the Stop Crying Your Heart Out star popping the question while holidaying with Debs on Italy’s Amalfi Coast in August last year.

While the couple are said to be frustrated that their big day will be postponed due to global events, they don’t sound too annoyed with having to rethink their plans.

“They both loved the idea of a romantic Italian wedding this summer but now the coronavirus situation has thrown a spanner in the works,” a source told The Sun on Sunday.

“Obviously in the short term, it is disappointing. But they are adamant their day – whenever it happens – will be perfect,” the source continued.

“Luckily, after so long with Liam, Debbie is used to dealing with things not going to plan,” they added.

Liam and Debbie’s decision to rethink their wedding comes just hours after he suggested things would go ahead as originally planned.

The singer had been asked if his wedding would be put on ice during a Twitter Q&A with fans, where one follower asked: “How’s the plans for the wedding? Hope that won’t be affected by it all too.”

Liam replied: “She ain’t getting of that lightly ha ha,” – however the star does now appear to be making a marriage plan U-Turn.
