Mr Sifters says about Oasis reunion: “They took us all by surprise”

Sifters Record‘s owner said about Oasis reunion that “They took us all by surprise”.

Oasis fans are celebrating as the legendary Britpop band announced their highly anticipated reunion tour, Oasis Live ’25.

The tour, spanning July and August 2025, will hit Manchester, London, Cardiff, Dublin, and Edinburgh. Demand skyrocketed, forcing the band to add three more dates immediately.

Peter Howard, owner of Sifters Records in Manchester, shared his excitement about the reunion. Howard, famously known as “Mr Sifter” in the Oasis song “Shakermaker”, was thrilled when he heard the news.

Speaking to Sky News, Howard predicted ticket demand would be “chaos”, surpassing even Taylor Swift’s levels. Fans have gathered outside Sifters Records all week to celebrate the reunion.

Howard recalled how Oasis asked for permission to reference him in “Shakermaker”. He praised the band, saying they had “good tunes, good rock stuff” and hit the “right place, right time.”

Tickets for Oasis Live ’25 go on general sale at 9am BST on Saturday, August 31. Fans can also access a pre-sale via ballot if they signed up before August 28.

Strict rules are in place: a maximum of four tickets per household and card, enforced by Ticketmaster.

The band partnered with Twickets to ensure fair ticket resale practices. Speculation is rife about who will join the Gallaghers on stage.

While original band members are unlikely to return, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs is expected to tour with them.

Oasis Live ’25 could reportedly generate £400 million, coinciding with the 30th-anniversary reissue of “Definitely Maybe”, out August 30.

Despite heavy rumors, Oasis confirmed they will not headline Glastonbury 2025.

The comeback of Oasis promises an unforgettable summer for fans worldwide.
