Noel Gallagher admitted the coronavirus lockdown has got to him and he has been drunk every night

The 52-year-old singer panicked about the national lockdown and stockpiled booze and, frankly, we all did the same. Speaking on Matt Morgan’s Funny How? podcast, the star explained:

Noel Gallagher

‘I’ve been p***ed every night for like a month. I have to say I’m loving it. I have not left the house for a month apart from a bike ride. I send someone else to the shop. ‘I’ve been panic buying booze. Now that the pubs are shut the only thing to now is to drink your way through it.

‘If you don’t leave the house you’ll be OK. I don’t see anybody anyway, I ride my bike where I live and you get the odd car on the road but I don’t stop to talk to anybody. I can easily shut the door and stay in.’

We’re all on the same page considering statistics from global analytics company Nielsen shows that sales of alcohol have increased by 291% during the pandemic. Noel needs something to do now that he’s ditched social media while Liam Gallagher has vowed to ignore him. The Oasis brothers have been in a bitter feud with each other since the band split back in 2009. The songwriter finds social media ‘boring’ and thinks ‘life is too short’ to be getting into internet fights.

He said: ‘I could not get on Google. I was active on social media for about a year and then it got boring. ‘I was like, “What am I f***ing doing?” I was getting into internet spats. Life is too short. The time people devote to it… It is a load of s**t.’
