Noel Gallagher denies Liam’s £100 million Oasis reunion claim

Noel Gallagher has denied Liam Gallagher’s claim that he rejected a £100 million offer to reunite Oasis.

Noel Gallagher has denied Liam Gallagher’s claim that he rejected a £100 million offer to reunite Oasis.

Liam recently tweeted that a massive reunion tour offer had been made.
He said, “We’ve been offered 100 million pounds for a tour. Still not enough for the greedy soul. Oh well. Stay young. LG.”

Minutes earlier, Liam teased fans with: “Wahey we’re getting back together.”
He also claimed that Noel was “doing it for nothing” while he was “desperate” and “doing it for the money.”

In response, Noel posted on Twitter, strongly denying the claims.
He wrote: “To whoever might be arsed: I am not aware of any offer from anybody for any amount of money to reform the legendary Mancunian Rock’n’Roll group Oasis.”
He added, “I am fully aware though that someone has a single to promote so that’s maybe where the confusion lies.”

The comment hints that Noel believes Liam’s claim was a publicity stunt.
It followed the release of Liam’s new ‘Acoustic Sessions’ album.

Released last week, ‘Acoustic Sessions’ includes eight live tracks.
It features stripped-back versions of songs from ‘Why Me? Why Not’, including ‘Now That I’ve Found You’, ‘Once’, ‘Alright Now’, and ‘Meadow’.

Fans will also find new acoustic versions of Oasis classics like ‘Cast No Shadow’ and ‘Stand By Me’, plus a demo of ‘Once’.

A new video for ‘Once’ has also been released.
It stars Manchester United legend Eric Cantona, who passionately sings along in a palace setting.

Liam described ‘Once’ as his “song of the year” when it first dropped in 2019.

This summer, Liam will hit the road again for live shows across Europe.
Confirmed gigs include Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium and a huge homecoming concert at Manchester’s Heaton Park.
