Noel Gallagher disses himself as he blasts own lacklustre Oasis performances

Noel Gallagher may be his own worst critic after slamming his some of his own performances from his Oasis days.

The 53-year-old rock legend has slammed his past performances when he sang alongside his 47-year-old brother Liam during their chart topping heyday.

The boys enjoyed two decades of success as Oasis when their band was active between 1991 until their bitter break-up in 2009.

But the Where Did It All Go Wrong? singer says his performances on stage during his time in the band leave a lot to be desired as he reflects back on his past career in the band.

He told the Mail on Sunday: “When I played guitar in Oasis I used to think I looked like Jimi Hendrix some nights.

“Then you see the footage and I was just shuffling around.”

At their peak, Oasis played to more than quarter of a million people over two nights during their two-night Knebworth gigs in 1996.

However, it seems the stage set up for the band was as lifeless as Noel’s performances.

He explains: “We had cardboard backdrops. We were not in it to push the boat out.”

Oasis fans who have long hoped the boys may reunite to play live again look set to wait a lot longer.

Back in February, Liam claimed the band had been offered £100 million to reform – but said Noel turned the offer down.

He made the announcement via social media, tweeting: He tweeted: “We’ve been offered 100 million pounds for a tour still not enough for the greedy soul oh well stay young LG.”

While in March, Liam made allegations that Noel’s wife was holding up reunion hopes during a Twitter Q&A with fans.

A fan tweeted him, asking: “Hi Liam, do you know why Noel hates oasis reunion so much??????”

Liam responded:”I’ve told you before he’s rite up for it but you know who won’t let him as she doesn’t like oasis music [sic].”

While the “you know who” appears to be a dig at Sara, who Noel married in 2011 two years after Oasis split.
