The former Oasis guitarist spoke on Matt Morgan’s podcast. He described his new daily routine in isolation with honesty and humor.
“I’ve been drunk every night,” Gallagher admitted. “I’m enjoying it, to be honest. No shame.”
At home with wife Sara MacDonald and their sons, Gallagher keeps things simple. He wakes up late, eats breakfast, and watches the news.
By mid-afternoon, he heads to his private bar. “Around 3pm, I go to the bar,” he said. “That’s my spot.”
He walks the dog before settling into a steady rhythm of drinks and relaxation.
Gallagher isn’t writing music right now. “I don’t feel like writing songs,” he said. “Nothing’s inspiring me at the moment.”
Instead, he compares the lockdown to being on tour. “It’s like staying in a hotel,” he joked. “You eat, drink, sleep.”
He embraces the calm. “No pressure, no deadlines,” Gallagher added. “I’m taking a break from the noise.”
