Noel Gallagher says Bonehead is “maybe the most appalling singer I’ve ever heard”

Noel Gallagher recently joked about Bonehead singing, calling him the worst he’s ever heard in his life.

Noel Gallagher, Bonehead

Noel Gallagher didn’t hold back when discussing his former Oasis bandmate Bonehead in a recent Radio X interview. The High Flying Birds frontman joked that Bonehead might be the most “appalling” singer he’s ever heard.

The remark came as Gallagher recalled a bizarre moment involving karaoke and George Michael. According to Noel, he once walked in on Bonehead belting out “Faith” at a party. The performance left a lasting impression—for all the wrong reasons.

“It’s one of the worst things I’ve ever heard,” Gallagher laughed.
“He was absolutely appalling. Horrendous.”

The moment was so shocking that Noel said he had to leave the room. He described the sound as “torture,” saying it scarred him musically.

The topic came up while Gallagher was promoting his latest album with the High Flying Birds, titled “Council Skies”. The record features tracks written during the COVID-19 lockdown and has received praise for its introspective tone.

Despite the jab at his former bandmate, Noel Gallagher was quick to point out that he and Bonehead are still good friends. The two musicians often bump into each other at festivals and industry events, always ready to share a laugh about the old days.

Bonehead, whose real name is Paul Arthurs, played rhythm guitar in Oasis and was one of the band’s founding members. Though he rarely sings, his musical chemistry with the Gallagher brothers helped shape the band’s early sound.

Still, singing clearly isn’t Bonehead’s strongest talent—at least not according to Noel.

Fans of Noel Gallagher love his unfiltered honesty. His ability to mix humor and criticism keeps interviews entertaining and headlines rolling.n reconnect at music events and share a laugh over their wild Oasis days.
