Noel Gallagher claims fans filming with phones would ruin the excitement of an Oasis reunion. Find out why he feels this way.

Noel Gallagher has revealed what might stop an Oasis reunion from being exciting — fans filming everything on their phones.
In a recent interview, the former Oasis guitarist and songwriter shared his thoughts on modern concerts.
According to Noel, part of what made past Oasis gigs special was the complete focus on the live music experience.
He said, “You go to a gig now and everyone’s filming it on their phone. That’s what ruins it.”
Noel Gallagher believes a reunion wouldn’t feel the same today because the crowd would no longer live in the moment.
He added, “We were the last band where people came to the show and weren’t filming it all.”
While fans still hope for an Oasis reunion, Noel’s comments suggest he sees little value in recreating the past in today’s environment.
He said the presence of phones would “kill the atmosphere” and make the show less magical.
Noel previously said a one-off reunion concert could work — if it were globally streamed. But the live crowd still matters to him.
He thinks capturing a moment on a screen can’t match actually being there and fully immersed.
That nostalgia for phone-free shows highlights what he misses most about the original Oasis era.
For now, it seems the biggest obstacle to an Oasis comeback isn’t money or logistics — it’s smartphones.
