Noel Gallagher has spoken about the ticket chaos for the Oasis reunion tour. He also revealed his favourite songs by the band.
In August, when tickets were announced, Oasis partnered with Twickets to prevent resale at inflated prices.
They stated that tickets resold for profit would be cancelled.
Despite these measures, tickets sold out quickly. However, about 4% – roughly 50,000 – ended up on resale sites at high prices. Some even reached £10,000. The band wrote on social media: “We have noticed people trying to sell tickets on the secondary market.
Tickets can ONLY be resold at face value via Ticketmaster and Twickets.”
In February, Ticketmaster cancelled thousands of tickets to combat bots, but many fans claimed they were unfairly affected.

Now, Noel Gallagher has responded to the huge ticket demand. In an interview with photographer Kevin Cummins, author of Oasis: The Masterplan, he said he was surprised by the scale of demand.
“I thought it’d be a big deal, but I was surprised by how important it was.”
He also hinted at possible setlist songs. When Cummins asked about his favourite Oasis song, he replied: “Can I pick more than one? ‘Supersonic’, ‘Some Might Say’, ‘Live Forever’ and ‘Rock’n’Roll Star’.”
In 2023, during an NME interview, Noel Gallagher revealed his least favourite Oasis songs. He also pointed out “flaws” in the band’s discography.
“I don’t like the sound of Morning Glory. The only perfect album is Definitely Maybe. Be Here Now has songs that are too long. Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants has too much filler. Heathen Chemistry has a few good songs: ‘Little By Little’ and ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, but the rest is mediocre. Don’t Believe The Truth is quite good. Dig Out Your Soul fades towards the end. Every album has flaws.”
Ticket sales sparked controversy due to “dynamic pricing.” The CMA and European Commission are investigating the issue.
Oasis stated they were unaware that dynamic pricing would be used.
They claimed that meetings with promoters, Ticketmaster, and management had established a fair ticketing strategy. However, the plan’s execution failed expectations.
To address the issue, the band announced a special invitation-only ballot ticket sale for two extra Wembley gigs on September 27 and 28.
The tour starts on July 4 in Cardiff. Sources told NME that the band’s lineup will include Andy Bell, Gem Archer, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, and Joey Waronker, alongside Noel and Liam Gallagher.
Meanwhile, train company LNER announced a special “She’s Electric” train route for the band’s first Wembley reunion gig.
