The former Oasis guitarist and chief songwriter used the pandemic to review old material. He discovered 14 unreleased tracks that never appeared on any album.

Noel Gallagher to Re-record 14 Unreleased Oasis Songs

“I listed the proper songs, and there were 14,” he told the Matt Morgan Podcast. “They got lost in different projects over the years. I will record them. Some sound old-school.”

The Ballad of the Mighty I singer reflected: “I looked at the tracklist and thought, ‘Actually, I’d approach that song differently.’ It’s been very interesting.”

Don’t Look Back in Anger Singer Talks About His Gift

The Don’t Look Back in Anger singer shared his “gift” is remembering melodies, not songwriting. He knows a tune is worth releasing if he recalls it years later.

“The gift is not creating chords. The gift I have is remembering everything. If I play a song once and connect with it, it stays forever.

“Of course, I forget small things, but years later, I play something and think, ‘Wait, that’s that tune I had.’

“That’s the gift, not songwriting. If a song is good enough, it will return.”

Liam Gallagher Not Involved in the New Project

The 53-year-old musician will not involve his estranged brother, Liam Gallagher. Their feud has continued since Noel Gallagher left Oasis in 2009.
