Noel on Oasis reunion: “I don’t see the appeal.”

Noel Gallagher has been the guest of XFM Breakfast Show and he answered to some questions about Oasis reunion.

Hosted by Jon Holmes this morning, Noel talked about several things, from drugs to – quite predictably – Oasis.

Noel told that he stopped taking cocaine in 1998 because he was tired of talking about “pyramids, aliens, The Beatles and who shot JFK”, which were the main issues during his parties.

Moreover, he was exhausted of that kind of life, having parties every night at his place that is what “is expected of you”.

However, he said that it has not been difficult to quit this habit, as he confirmed on Jonathan Ross Show.

Jon Holmes asked him about the reunion of Oasis at Glastonbury reporting the words of the frontman of Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl.

Noel said about him “he’s great, he’s genuinely one of the nicest men in rock”, but when the conversation shifted on Oasis reunion he shortly answered “I am available that weekend, but it’s not up to me, is it?”.

The reunion of Oasis has been one of the topic of the chat with Jonathan Ross, too.

In fact, Ross reminded Noel about the time he told:

“I’ll get back together with Oasis in the day you go work for the BBC again”.

In the last period, Ross worked with BBC and he is going to work with it.

“Does that mean I have to reform the band?” asked Noel, and then he went on:

I don’t see the appeal (of the reunion), I don’t see it. If I close my eyes , I don’t see it happening, that’s not to say it will never but I’ve got a lot of things going on at the moment.
