Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher set to face off at BRIT Awards

THE brothers’ feud is set to continue as Liam and Noel Gallagher go head to head this week for the first time as solo artists.

The estranged Oasis stars are tipped to get major nods at the BRIT awards nominations, which will be announced in London on Saturday.

Both are expected to be up for the British Male Solo gong after successful 2017 campaigns.

They are also expected to face-off in the MasterCard British Album category as combined sales of Liam’s As You Were and Noel’s Who Built The Moon? topped 300,000 copies.

After a year of increasingly nasty sparring the pair appeared to patch things up over Christmas, although they still have not met up in seven years.

Liam is enjoying the greater commercial success – outselling his brother by almost two to one – and has a string of big gigs coming this summer which he will be loving rubbing in Noel’s face.

In reality, the Gallaghers do not stand much chance of winning either award with Ed Sheeran lurking.

The Suffolk strummer was the biggest-selling artist of 2017, selling more than two million copies of his album ÷ (Divide) and that’s expected to be reflected by a record-breaking four nominations including British Male Solo, Album, Single and Video categories.
