Oasis are finally reuniting. As the world waits, let’s remember the legendary gigs that made them icons.
The Gallagher brothers have delivered some of the most unforgettable live shows in music history. From tiny club stages to record-breaking stadiums, Oasis always knew how to make it biblical.
Here are 11 Oasis concerts that changed music forever.
1. King Tut’s, Glasgow – May 1, 1993
Oasis nearly missed their big break. They weren’t meant to play but squeezed onto the lineup.
In front of just 12 people, including Alan McGee, they performed ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ and other early tracks.
It was enough to land a record deal. The rest is history.
2. Glastonbury Festival – June 26, 1994
Oasis played the NME New Bands Stage at Worthy Farm. Their set included early anthems like ‘Live Forever’.
Liam’s attitude and swagger grabbed everyone’s attention. The Britpop era had truly arrived.
3. Whisky-A-Go-Go, Los Angeles – September 29, 1994
Oasis’ early US shows were chaotic. At the legendary Sunset Strip venue, they battled sound issues and crystal meth confusion.
Despite it all, hearing ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ in that iconic room felt surreal.
4. Glastonbury Festival – June 23, 1995
Just a year later, Oasis returned to headline Glastonbury.
Their performance of ‘Slide Away’ remains a fan favourite. Liam delivered pure emotion on stage.
5. Maine Road, Manchester – April 27-28, 1996
The band’s first stadium headline show. Fittingly, it was at the home of Manchester City.
80,000 fans saw Oasis perform ‘The Masterplan’ and more. Noel called it the biggest day of their lives.
6. Loch Lomond, Scotland – August 3-4, 1996
Oasis rocked the banks of Loch Lomond. Fans even swam across the loch to get inside.
They debuted new tracks from ‘Be Here Now’. The crowd sang along to ‘Champagne Supernova’ under the summer sky.
7. Knebworth, Hertfordshire – August 10-11, 1996
The biggest shows in Oasis history. Over 250,000 people gathered across two nights.
Noel declared, “This is history.” And it truly was. The band was at their absolute peak.
8. G-Mex, Manchester – December 13-14, 1997
On the ‘Be Here Now’ tour, Oasis returned home.
The giant red phone box stage entrance, pure British swagger, and hits like ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’ made it unforgettable.
9. Wembley Stadium, London – July 21-22, 2000
Oasis headlined the home of English football.
The crowd exploded to ‘Fuckin’ In The Bushes’. The live album ‘Familiar to Millions’ captured the madness.
10. Barrowlands, Glasgow – October 13-14, 2001
For their 10th anniversary tour, Oasis played intimate venues again.
At the sweaty, beer-soaked Barrowlands, they dedicated ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ to Ally McCoist.
11. River Plate, Buenos Aires – May 3, 2009
On the ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ tour, Oasis wowed Argentina.
Noel reflected on visiting River Plate as a roadie in 1989. Now, he played it with his own band.
