Fans of Oasis now have a rare chance to relive one of the band’s earliest festival performances.

The BBC has added the band’s legendary 1994 Glastonbury set to its Glastonbury Experience lineup. The rarely seen footage is part of a virtual celebration marking the festival’s 50th anniversary.

The Oasis performance came just one month before the release of their debut album “Definitely Maybe”. At the time, the band was on the rise—but far from the Britpop giants they would soon become.

The 1994 set includes early versions of iconic tracks like “Live Forever,” “Supersonic,” and “Shakermaker.” Watching it now, fans can see the raw energy that would later define Oasis’ stadium-filling years.

“We were hungry and fearless,” Noel Gallagher said of the performance.
“That was the real beginning.”

The BBC Glastonbury Experience was created to fill the gap left by the festival’s cancellation during the COVID-19 pandemic. With no live event, the BBC decided to stream legendary sets from past years.

For many, seeing Oasis’ 1994 set is a highlight. The footage captures the band on the cusp of global fame, still gritty and unpolished—but undeniably magnetic.

It’s also a rare glimpse into Glastonbury’s history, showcasing how it helped launch the careers of iconic acts.

The performance is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer, alongside classic sets by Radiohead, Beyoncé, and David Bowie.

For longtime fans and new listeners alike, this is a must-watch piece of Oasis history.

The setlist for their 1994 set at Glastonbury was as follows:

  • ‘Shakermaker’
  • ‘Fade Away’
  • ‘Digsy’s Dinner’
  • ‘Live Forever’
  • ‘Bring It on Down’
  • ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’
  • ‘Supersonic’
  • ‘I Am the Walrus’ (The Beatles cover)
