Noel and Liam Gallagher are preparing for a massive Oasis reunion tour, with rehearsals underway and global demand exploding.
Oasis are officially back. Noel Gallagher has kicked off the reunion tour rehearsals with original bandmates Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, Christian Madden, and new drummer Joey Waronker.
They rehearsed in a top-secret London studio for six hours, polishing a carefully crafted setlist. A source revealed that Noel is working separately from his brother Liam Gallagher, who is currently in France with fiancée Debbie Gwyther.
“Noel and Liam are rehearsing separately and won’t meet until next month,” said an insider. The band is tightening the finer musical details before Liam joins in.
Liam will enter rehearsals later, followed by a joint session with Noel ahead of the first show in Cardiff on July 4. That day will mark the official public reunion of the Gallagher brothers.
Noel was seen with a hot water bottle during rehearsals. “He’s on his feet all day and needs to stay comfortable,” the source explained.
Their reunion has been carefully planned, when filming an advert for Adidas, Noel and Liam arrived at different times to avoid being photographed together.
At a private meeting at Nobu Portman Square Hotel in February, the two arrived and left separately again. “They want the first public image together to be on stage,” the source said.
The final lineup features Bonehead, Gem, Andy, Christian, and Joey Waronker. Bonehead rejoined after recovering from cancer and was the first member confirmed for the tour.
Joey replaces Zak Starkey, who departed after a brief reinstatement with The Who. Zak later revealed he was asked to claim he had quit voluntarily — which he denied.
Joey, previously on tour with Liam and John Squire, is said to be a perfect fit. “He’s an incredible drummer and close to Liam,” said a source.
Meanwhile, Liam confirmed on social media that rehearsals “sound epic.” The worldwide tour sold out in minutes, with over 10 million fans attempting to buy tickets.
Both brothers are expected to earn £100 million each. The demand was beyond expectations, especially overseas, with venues like Rose Bowl and MetLife Stadium seeing overwhelming interest.
Oasis streams surged by 750% when the tour was announced, hitting 11 million plays in one day. Economists expect fans to spend over £1 billion during the reunion tour.
As one insider summed it up: “This is going to be biblical.”
