This year’s festival will be held from June 13-16, with the 2019 event following one year on from the Isle of Wight Festival’s 50th anniversary in 2018.
The three main headliners and the first batch of acts for the 2019 festival have been announced this morning (January 23), with Gallagher (who’ll play on June 14), Ezra (June 15) and Biffy (June 16) all topping the bill.
Ezra’s top billing marks his first-ever major UK festival headline performance, while Gallagher will return to the Isle of Wight for a first performance at the festival since 2012.
Speaking about closing the festival on the Sunday, Biffy Clyro said in a statement: “We are delighted to be headlining The Isle of Wight Festival again. ‘Tis a beauty. Hail Satan!!”
Elsewhere on the bill, Fatboy Slim will make his debut Isle of Wight Festival performance with a set on the Saturday before Ezra’s headline set. The likes of Courteeners, Richard Ashcroft, Lily Allen, IDLES, Bastille and Sigrid will all also perform across the weekend, with more acts set to be announced in the coming months.
