Liam Gallagher took his Twitter account to disapprove the decision of Judge Judy about Gene assault case.
Liam Gallagher has reacted in typical blunt fashion after the dismissal of his son Gene Gallagher’s assault case. The ex-Oasis frontman took to Twitter to express his anger at the comments made by Judge Joanna Greenberg.
The case involved Gene Gallagher, Sonny Starkey (grandson of Ringo Starr) and Noah Ponte. It was dismissed on March 30th after new video evidence suggested the incident may have been self-defense.
However, the judge condemned the behavior of Gene and Sonny. She said, “It is hard enough for people running late-night stores without entitled young men thinking they could get what they want by misbehaving.”
Liam Gallagher didn’t hold back.
“Judge Judy can kiss my arse hole from 1 entitled prick to another as you were LG x,” he tweeted.
He followed up with:
“Asking folk to sit down, stand up, rise, f*** off with your noncey wig.”
“If ya can’t steal from your local Tescos where can you steal from eh this country is over.”
The case stemmed from a May 2019 incident at a Tesco Express in North London. Prosecutors dropped charges after video evidence showed a shop clerk appeared to push Sonny Starkey first.
Despite dismissing the case, Judge Greenberg still condemned the group’s behavior.
She said: “Your behavior on this occasion was completely out of order, no doubt after drinking.”
Noah Ponte was also cleared of theft by a jury later in the week.
Liam Gallagher seemed to cool down later. By Monday, he tweeted:
“LOVE”
“Kindness”
“Respect”
Meanwhile, Gallagher had just released the title track from his third solo album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’, out May 27th. The album follows the success of singles ‘Everything’s Electric’ featuring Dave Grohl. He also paid tribute to the late Taylor Hawkins with a heartfelt performance of ‘Live Forever’.
