Liam Gallagher denies love triangle sparked Oasis and Blur feud

Liam Gallagher has denied Noel Gallagher’s claim about a love triangle causing the Oasis and Blur feud.

Recently, Noel Gallagher suggested that the infamous ’90s Britpop rivalry between Oasis and Blur began over a personal dispute. According to Noel, it stemmed from a love triangle involving Liam Gallagher, Damon Albarn, and a woman both musicians were linked to.

Liam Gallagher has denied Noel Gallagher’s claim about a love triangle causing the Oasis and Blur feud.

However, Liam Gallagher has dismissed the theory. He called it “bullshit” in a recent post on social media. He insisted that the feud was always musical and not personal. “This isn’t a soap opera,” he wrote. “It was always about music.”

The original feud peaked in 1995 when Oasis and Blur released singles on the same day. Media hyped the event as a “Battle of Britpop.” Blur’s “Country House” won the chart race over Oasis’ “Roll With It,” adding fuel to the rivalry.

Liam Gallagher emphasized that his issue with Damon Albarn was not romantic. He claimed their relationship is now respectful and mature. The pair even collaborated in recent years. Damon played piano on Gorillaz’ “We Got The Power,” which featured Liam.

The renewed attention comes after Noel’s new comments in interviews promoting his High Flying Birds work. Liam’s rejection of the claim adds a new twist to one of Britpop’s most discussed sagas.

This denial reinforces Liam’s ongoing narrative that the feud was purely artistic. It aligns with his frequent critiques of the media’s attempts to rewrite history.
