Liam Gallagher says he ‘heard Noel wants to apologise and beg him for Oasis reunion’

Liam Gallagher , 47, revealed his estranged brother Noel Gallagher, 52, wants to get in touch following their 10-year feud.

The siblings haven’t seen eye-to-eye after Noel decided to quit Oasis in 2009 in the wake of several backstage arguments at Rock en Seine in Paris.

And despite their differences, the former Oasis frontman explained he’s “heard” his older brother wants to put the bad blood behind them.

Taking to Twitter earlier this week, Liam, who is currently performing in Australia, wrote: “Anyone seen my duffle coat? C’mon you know LG x.”

However, one fan wasn’t interested in Liam’s lost item of clothing, and replied: “Oasis will never get back – you dislike Noel.”

Making a playful quip at Noel, he responded: “I’ve heard he wants to meet up wonder what he wants? Maybe he wants to apologise and beg me to let him start up Oasis again. Thoughts anyone?”

Liam’s remarks come months after he confessed he’d like to grab a beer with the High Flying Birds member.

“It’s down to him and it’s down to the people around him – there’s only so many olive branches you can give someone without going, ‘I don’t think he really cares any more’, but that’s life, we’ll see how it ends up’,” he said.

Liam explained he wants to put his differences with Noel aside for the sake of their mum Peggy.

“I was saying the other day if, God forbid, something happens to my mam and we haven’t made up by then… then there will be war.”
