The highly anticipated live stream took place on Saturday, 5 September, via MelodyVR. The former Oasis frontman performed an exclusive set while cruising along London’s iconic river.
Lockdown restrictions eased in England, but fans of the Manchester rocker stayed home to enjoy the show. The setlist featured career-spanning hits.
Liam Gallagher‘s Setlist Highlights
The show opened with “Hello,” the first track from “(What’s The Story?) Morning Glory?”. He was joined by former bandmate Bonehead.
Next, Liam Gallagher played “Wall Of Glass,” his solo debut hit. Then, he performed “Halo” from “Why Me? Why Not.” followed by the electrifying “Shockwave.”
Oasis Classics and Fan Favorites
He then delivered Oasis favorites like “Columbia” and “Fade Away,” calling the latter “very, very emo.”
After performing “Why Me? Why Not.” and “Greedy Soul,” Liam Gallagher played “The River.” This track inspired the live stream’s name.
A highlight was “Once,” the most-streamed Bonehead track of the year.
A Tribute to Oasis Hits
Liam Gallagher then launched into Oasis classics, including “Morning Glory,” “Cigarettes and Alcohol,” “Headshrinker,” and “Supersonic.”
He took a moment to share his thoughts on the London Eye before delivering an acoustic version of “Champagne Supernova.”
A Special Encore
Returning for the encore, Liam Gallagher performed his latest Christmas single, “All You’re Dreaming Of.” This song was the perfect ending to the winter-themed gig.
