In the new issue of Music Week, Liam Gallagher has said he was taken aback by the demand for tickets for his first solo UK and Irish arena tour.
Gallagher hits the road in December for a UK and Irish arena tour with dates in London, Leeds, Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Plymouth and Brighton Centre.
Tickets sold out fast and Gallagher has admitted public demand had far exceeded his own expectations.
He said โAt the time I was like, โIโm not doing arenas, letโs turn it down a bit and do Brixton Academy or something like thatโ, so Iโm absolutely blown away by it man,โ he said. โWe could have been greedy and done loads of nights but itโs not about the money, itโs about doing it and leaving people wanting more.
โI know for a fact that I can still shake a room, I fucking know I can, so theyโre gonna get fucking shook man.โ
