Liam Gallagher is planning a collaboration with The Killers as part of their headline set on Saturday night at Glastonbury

I’m told the gobbier half of the Manchester rockers, Liam Gallagher, is planning a collaboration with The Killers as part of their headline set on Saturday night.

Liam, who is scheduled to perform just before Brandon Flowers and Co on the main stage that night, has been planning the surprise for several weeks.

It would not be the first time he has joined The Killers on stage, but if this latest plan goes ahead it would be the first time he has sung with the US rockers.

Last summer at Latitude Festival, in Suffolk, he popped up alongside the band but left them to rattle out the tunes, as Brandon sang Oasis track Acquiesce.

Liam invaded a Killers gig in Brazil last year, clearly after a few caipirinhas, but he didn’t sing on that occasion either.

Glasto source said: “Liam is a big fan of Brandon and the lads and has got on stage with them a few times.

“But they got talking about doing a proper bit together, so have been speaking about doing something on Saturday night. As ever with Liam, things go right down to the wire, but both sides are keen to do something and Liam is on directly before The Killers.”
