Michael Spencer Jones, photographer for Oasis, revealed the band split during the recording of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’.

The iconic 1995 album was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales. The session was filled with chaos and tension.
Jones described the fight as “a Victorian fistfight on Rockfield’s lawn,” calling it far worse than usual.
“It was devastation,” said Jones. “Liam Gallagher’s room looked like a nuclear explosion hit it.”
Noel Gallagher asked Jones to drive him to Paul Weller’s house in London, but Jones had been drinking.

The band disappeared quickly after the fight. Many thought the album might never be finished.
“Most members left the studio,” said Jones. “People truly believed the band wouldn’t complete the album.”
“They actually split up. They stopped being a band during one of the biggest albums ever.”
A new documentary, ‘Return To Rockfield’, premiered on YouTube on October 1, celebrating the album’s 25th anniversary.
In the film, Noel Gallagher reflects on the album’s impact and the explosive success that followed.
“People went nuts for it,” said Noel. “After that, nothing was the same.”
“Then the money came in and all hell broke loose,” added Noel. “It was wild. I was like, woohoo!”
