Rock’n’roll legend Noel Gallagher is coming to rock Swansea’s Singleton Park.
Pablo Janczur, director of Orchard Entertainment said: “Noel’s a huge name in music, and getting great reviews for his current shows, plus we’ve put together a really strong supporting line-up that I think represents terrific value at £35.75, which includes booking fees. “Singleton Park is a lovely venue for live music, the Paolo Nutini show was really special there, so Swansea has a great night to look forward to in September.”
Noel said: “I wasn’t ready for the positive reaction to my solo albums and shows, I was amazed that it got to an arena level so quickly.”
Gaz Coombes is another former front man of a huge band from the same era, whose own solo career is soaring with a Mercury Prize nomination, for his album Matador.
Frightened Rabbit have just released their second album Painting of a Panic Attack, following the success of their Top ten album debut Pedestrian Verse, while Pretty Vicious, who hail from Merthyr, are renowned for their live performances with a punk rock edge. They also supported Manic Street Preachers at Cardiff Castle, and headlined the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury.
