Noel Gallagher has admitted that during the pandemic he wrote enough music to complete two more albums.
Speaking with the Rolling Stone, the Mancunian revealed:
βThere is an acoustic album as well, which is very, very stripped back, and which I started recording recently, and then thereβs, a very heavily guitar-based, stadium-rock album.β
Noel Gallagher also talked about how lockdown impacted on ‘Council Skies’ so much he even had to change up some of the lyrics.
“Yeah I didnβt realise it at the time, but when I was putting it all together, the vibe and the lyrics sounded a bit reflective and I guess it was a reflective time for everyone, because none of us had ever lived through a pandemic, didnβt even know what one was and how weβd got into it and how we were going to get out of it.”
βAnd you were watching the news and there was the conspiracy theories and all that sort of thing. Iβd lock my self away in my room at home and just think, βWhat on earth is going on?β And thereβs a bit of that in there. Some of the songs are quite personal.β
