Noel Gallagher says no one besides him “represents rock’n’roll today”

In his South American tour, Noel Gallagher has talked several times about his solo career, Oasis, Liam (saying he’s not a good singer anymore) and music business.

During Lollapalooza he was interviewed by La Tercera.
When asked about the current situation of rock, he went: “Look at this festival, there’s no rock band”, saying he loves Florence and the Machine, but she’s not rock as well as Eminem [who performed at Lollapalooza, too]. He then said: “Besides myself, I don’t know anyone today who represents rock’n’roll”.
He added that among the new groups on the scene none of them impresses him, making him say “I wish I wrote that”.
