Noel Gallagher has reportedly sold his classic 1967 Jaguar sports car for £125,000, despite never having learned to drive it.

Noel Gallagher has reportedly sold his classic 1967 Jaguar sports car for £125,000, despite never having learned to drive it.

A Rock Star’s “Expensive Mistake”

The Oasis legend bought the vintage Jaguar MkII in 1997 for £110,000, during the peak of the band’s fame.
Now aged 55, Noel is said to have made a £15,000 profit on the sale, which was completed by a mystery buyer.

The car features red leather interior and a 125mph top speed, but it had sat unused in his garage for over two decades.

“My £110,000 Jaguar just sits in the garage. It’s been there since the ’90s,” Noel told Radio X in 2019.
“I thought I’d easily have learned to drive. I took one lesson and gave up.”

The Jaguar Was Once Meant for His Daughter

Noel’s daughter Anaïs Gallagher, 22, was previously tipped to inherit the car.
Instead, it was put up for sale in March, and has now found a new owner via Hurst Park Automobiles, a classic car dealership in London.

The dealer told The Sun:

“We can’t disclose any further information about who has bought the car, or how much it was for.”

The Car Appeared in a Music Video

Although never driven by Noel himself, the Jaguar made a cameo in the “We’re On Our Way Now” music video by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Matt Smith (Doctor Who) and Gala Gordon were seen driving the car through London in the stylish visual.

Noel Serenaded With “Wonderwall” in Ibiza

In a separate recent moment, Noel Gallagher went viral after a restaurant in Ibiza spontaneously sang “Wonderwall” at him.

He was dining with his wife Sara MacDonald and son when diners began clapping and singing the Oasis anthem.

Noel looked embarrassed, hiding his face in his hands while Sara recorded the moment. The TikTok video quickly went viral, with fans praising the hilarious scene.
