Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has insisted the hit BBC gangster series will never feature the likes of Liam Gallagher who has begged for a celebrity cameo.
The 46-year-old rocker told fans he was in talks for landing a part in the show earlier this month, but Steven has shut down the rumours.
Speaking to crowds at the Peaky Blinders Festival in Birmingham this weekend after being quizzed on Liam’s role, he said: “In terms of appearances we’ve always had a lot of incoming interest. “What I’m trying to not do is populate the scene with people who are known for other things, because I think it’s quite distracting.”
Despite ruling out an appearance from the rocker, the Peaky Blinders super fan performed at the festival for fans, proving there are no hard feelings.
