Paul โBigunโ Ashbee, the man who first introduced the original Oasis members, has spoken out on what it would take for the band to reform.

Ashbee has known Liam Gallagher for 32 years, first meeting when the singer was 14 before employing him as a car valet and introducing him to guitarist Paul โBoneheadโ Arthurs. They would then form The Rain who would later become Oasis and take on Noel Gallagher as guitarist and chief songwriter.
Now, Ashbee spoken of the chances of the band reuniting, and believes that their mother Peggy could be the key to them burying the hatchet.
โI really do think a reunion will happen,โ Ashbee told Manchester Evening News. โI thought it would happen last year and a lot of people say today theyโll never get on but theyโve never got on.โ
โIt wouldnโt take much for them to get together. It would be a Christmas dinner or Peggy saying โcome on boys, for your mum, for the peopleโ.โ
He added: โThey need to get over themselves and remember where it started. Itโs the fans that itโs all about. Somebody needs to bang their heads together.โ
Meanwhile, Ashbee will next month release a book recalling him time with the band and history around his hometown, Giving it the Bigun, Oasis, Manchester, Football And Me.
โNoel and Liam know about the book,โ he said. โWhen I told Liam he said โdonโt be slagging me offโ but itโs not about that. Itโs about being positive. Oasis is me. Itโs part of who I am.โ
The book arrives on November 15 and can be pre-ordered here.
